About this deal

Facing the truth once more, Theo must deal with the reality of being a Draven, as he copes with the responsibilities placed upon him. This takes him on a journey, and one that ends with a stone staircase deep underneath London’s surface, whereby he’ll really put his powers to the test. Entering the Afterlife Academy with his friends, he must face the reality of his nightmares, as he witnesses the Devil’s Ring, which is a fight club for the supernatural. Will he be able to deal with all, can he cope with the new reality he finds himself within, and what will become of the Reaper’s Book? Also the relationship between him and Lucifer was rather interesting. The comment he makes at the end of chapter three, when he says "you will bring me my queen"...it makes me wonder if her other novel 'devil in me' is set in the same universe as this, if that's so then is he referring to lily? Because lucius was never in that book...eh maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Another thing I'm curious about is whether or not lucius is actually the king of death, because I feel like in one of either the later afterlife books, which of course would've taken place way earlier than this series, they mentioned the king of death and how he'd already found his electus(I could be wrong though, of course). Stephanie Hudson had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream. I first started writing in the form of poetry and soon found a taste for horror and romance. Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. Still learning what it really means to be ‘The Chosen One,’ Keira remains with the sands of the Persian desert beneath her feet. Chosen One to the King of Kings, she is held in the grip of Arsaces, as he’s set upon keeping, no matter what the cost is to him. The world is about to end though, and the prophecy has been foretold, with him fighting against everything to keep hold of her. Will he keep her within his grasp, can she save the world as The Chosen One, and what will become of the blood of the Infinity War?

It’s been seven years. Seven long years since that cold and cruel Vampire King, Lucius, broke her heart. Her naive little heart destroyed after one painful night when she sneaked in to his Gothic nightclub, Transfusion. Seven years since he humiliated her, casting her aside and telling her just what he thought about her little obsession with him. Then he saved her life.I will Always be a hard core Lucius fan and I couldn’t wait for him to get his own saga as Stephanie had promised. When I found out that Amelia was his chosen one I didn’t know how to feel but damn it, if I wasn’t intrigued. And again our author goddess did not disappoint. I absolutely love the transfusion series. Dealing with dyslexia, she was always determined to overcome any obstacles placed in her path, with her gift for storytelling shining through. Writing poetry as well as horror and romance, she would always be looking for new and exciting ideas to help inspire her. Still writing to this very day, she lives with her family, as she continues to put out stories and work at an ever consistent pace. I have also written The Devil in Me along with my husband Blake. A dark erotic standalone story that we are both really proud of.

Beyond that...I knew life could not be that easy for them. Sunshine and roses (poppies) only last so long, especially when the Wraiths have not been set free as she vowed. So prophecies were not yet complete. Vincent and Ari's story was to be continued, Jared, Sigurd, Seth and Lucifer's stories were never even started, and then the Transfusion series was written, which was YEARS after in the timeline (which often mentioned or hinted about previous characters and storylines...like the Blood Wars, urm... wtf happened? Inquiring minds want to know! Afterlife Saga is 12 books in total, which includes the books that are in two parts plus the many spin-off books that follow, as some stories are just too big for one book. At the moment I am finishing Lucius's story in the Transfusion Saga and all 12 books will be released very soon. After that will be the conclusion of Vincent's story, Imp and the Beast, Books 1 & 2 and the other Afterlife King Spin-off series. There is also the Afterlife Academy aimed at a younger audience but still an important part of the whole Afterlife World. Giving the returning fans everything that they could hope for here, this book works well on so many different levels. Hudson also makes her own voice heard, providing plenty of exciting twists and turns along the way, keeping it engaging and unpredictable. It’s a real testament to her skills as a writer that this works so well, from it’s well crafted characters to its ever engaging storyline.I loved this book because I loved seeing Amelia growing, becoming independent and doing things without Luc, but I won’t say it’s my favorite even tho I feel it because there are more books coming so I don’t know if the next one will be my ultimate favorite. As usual Stephanie paints an excellent picture with her storytelling, the battles were explosive and the characters shine just as always. Though to be honest I found the warriors three to be slightly annoying with their accents. That was the point though, for them to sound authentic, I get that. They did grow on me more, towards the end. Also it was never explained how Trice knew Amelia...I am really hoping that's touched upon in the next one because I'm highly curious. While the fearsome sex scenes are extremely intense and erotic between these two, and who doesn't love growly Lucius, I sometimes felt lost in the story because it seemed they just kept being thrown in every other scene. I would have preferred more on the communication side. For instance, when Lucius finally got around to discussing his daughter, it was a glossed over paragraph in which the reader never was able to experience his emotions in the telling to his Chosen. There were some heartfelt moments, and it was nice seeing some normalcy. Christmas at home with the gang was fun - great to reconnect with the Afterlife side. I just which there was a bit more balance. This book had me loving to hate the handsome Vampire King Luc! Some of the ways he let his demon behave was walking the fine line for me. I know he has a temper and he sure shows it here a long with letting us see his vulnerable side. Okay so first off and for the 5th time now(I started reading these just after the second book came out)...WHY?!?! Seriously Stephanie are you trying to kill me with these cliffhanger cutoffs? I swear to you I will still read the next book even if there is no cliffhanger! I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship with these books lol.
