About this deal

Thus, if you're really keen to get some Sennheiser audio quality into your setup but can't stretch to the larger price tags of the more premium headsets, then the GSP 300 is the right choice. Its compatibility with every device is a major plus, while it retains the Sennheiser excellence in audio (detailed sound, excellent surround/directional accuracy, and great overall richness). Its microphone is good too, though this won't be great for mobile players or for the commute as the mic is non-detachable and a little wobbly on the design front. The latter being a little weak point on the headset overall, actually, as it feels a bit wobbly in the hands. Whereas competing headsets let you explore every nook and cranny in your home without compromising the wireless signal, a single wall can often prove to be a hurdle too significant for the GSP 670 to overcome. What you don’t get is professional styling. Wear these on your commute and you’ll get some odd looks. In return, though, you get an exceptionally comfortable pair of headphones thanks to two features: one, ear cushions that surround your pinnae rather than place any pressure on them; two, a sliding mechanism that adjusts the balance of the pressure of these 406g headphones on your head. I’m cynical about how much difference the balance mechanism makes in practice, but it does adjust the feel of the headset. More importantly, you can wear the GSP 670 for hours without suffering from hot, uncomfortable ears, and it makes no difference whether or not you wear glasses. The GSP 670 also comes with an advanced, solid metal hinge system, adapting the headset to any head shape and guaranteeing a perfect fit. There’s also a turbocharge mode that lets you charge the headset for only 7 minutes to get two full hours of use out of it. And if you swipe the slide switch once you’ll get a voice notification telling you at what percentage the battery life stands.

Being a Sennheiser product means that you shouldn’t expect any flashy accessories to persuade you to buy it. Out of the box, you just get the headset, the USB dongle, and the charging cable – which speakers volumes about the level of confidence Sennheiser has in this product. The headset itself is capable of a lot without any sort of clipping or peaking, even at the highest volumes I can tolerate, and even after tooling around with the equalizer. There are four presets built in: Flat, Movie, Music, and Esport (Treble). You can customize these and create your own with the Sennheiser Gaming Suite, as well as swap between two-channel and 7.1 audio. While I’ve fiddled with the equalizer a little – particularly to boost mid-range audio, as the presets err towards more bass and treble – it’s not a necessary step. For most purposes, the presets do just fine. London, June 2019 – If you want to enjoy wireless technology while gaming an unnoticeable latency is key. Sennheiser introduces the GSP 670, Sennheiser's first wireless gaming headset. The GSP 670 gives gamers significantly more freedom of movement than wired models. The audio specialist has integrated a proprietary low-latency connection that guarantees a reliable and stable transmission with near-zero delay. In addition, the GSP 670 offers Sennheiser’s renowned wearing comfort and premium audio performance. Of course, if you’re a fan of flashy accessories, you can still breathe some life into the GSP 670 by swapping the removable side plates. The selection of side plates isn’t too varied, but the customizability option is present.

All the buttons and dials you need

Yet, if you want a headset that’s a bit more versatile or one that you can carry into the adjacent room or even the one next to that with impunity, then you should consider some of the alternatives. However, it’s still a headset that we could wear for hours on end without any issues, so don’t let the weight concern you. The folk at Sennheiser have gone to great lengths to ensure that wearing the GSP 670 is an absolute joy. This is an exceptionally light model for the spec - just 322g. As such, it’s not carrying the timber most high-end headsets do. You’ll find no needless brushed steel accents here. Just lightweight plastics and soft cloth cushions around an aluminium band. Neat features like the detachable mic and its swappable magnetised cover do impress, and this is good wireless headset money. The GSP 300 headset is a great starting point for those looking to get into Sennheiser gaming headsets - but one that can also stand in its own right given the quality, and value in particular, that it offers. As I said in my review, "getting a Sennheiser-quality headset like this, at this price point, and with this device-versatility, is an excellent proposition and one that is easy to recommend". In an effort to mitigate the aforementioned issues of comfort we experienced with the GSP 600 before it, a two-axis metal hinge system holds the GSP 670 together. Not only does this help improve its fit, but Sennheiser claims the headset will also last longer as a result. Whether it's because of the build quality, the subdued aesthetics or a combination of both, everything about the GSP 670 does feel premium. The hinge is no exception.

One the one hand, Sennheiser has managed to waltz into this scene and completely obliterate the competition. We just can’t say enough good things about it. It’s everything you could hope from a Sennheiser device – an audio quality that makes everything sound at its best. Conclusion One being Asus and its ROG / Strix line which tend to have garishly over the top angular designs full of RGB lighting that make them look more like a prop from a Predator movie than a pair of headphones. The other being SteelSeries, which tends to make wonderfully discrete headsets that look a lot like regular headphones. We’ve expected no less from a headset at this price, but the GSP 670 is a device that you’ll forget you’re even wearing. Features

And even though it was made for gaming, everything sounds terrific on this headset: music, movies, you name it. These are all pretty nifty quality of life features, but they would’ve been even better if the battery life was a tad more in line with the competition in the first place. MicrophoneAs expected, considering the price and the manufacturer, the folk at Sennheiser have brought their A-game with this headset. We can unreservedly say that the Sennheiser GSP 670 features a certified audiophile-grade sound. The sound is very different too what you’ll find on most gaming headsets. This may put off some regular, non-audio conscious buyers as the most noticeable difference is how controlled the low end is. Unlike competing sets, such as the Arctis Pro which push the low end to the point it can wonder intrude on other parts of the sound, the Sennheiser GSP 670 keep it under permanent control. This gives it a far precise sound than most headsets, but can initially feel like it’s less powerful to an untrained ear. All in all, it’s a very functional piece of software, but it doesn’t offer as many features as some of Sennheiser’s competitors that are more seasoned in the gaming scene.
