About this deal

So far these boots seem a good product, But I have only done a couple of journeys and not in the rain or fallen off. Their 25-years of know-how and experience in building motorcycle boots were completely dedicated to developing a new and innovative range. Well it’s a boot designed for the adventure bike rider who is going to be spending some, but probably not all, of his time off road.

The Forma Adventure boots are designed to work effectively as road boots, complete with some dual-sport features, and a lightweight construction for greater rider agility and bike control. My Adventure boots after a few nights in front of the fire started to split, but Terra no longer have that problem.Due to the special lightweight sole design, these boots are not recommended for use with kick-start bikes or bikes with motocross style footpegs. For comfort you get padded, concertina banding in the heel, in the upper calf region, and in the forefoot. For my current style of riding they are the right combination of comfort, protection, weight and importantly they are waterproof.

Inner Personalized Forma Drytex tubular lining (waterproof and breathable) / Ankle TPU moulded plastic protections / Soft polymer padding with memory foam / PP Mid Dual Flex with anti-shock EVA midsole / Anti-bacterial replaceable footbed with A. I've never had a problem with gear shifting on my V Strom, I just needed to remember to drop my foot a bit lower to get it under the gear lever, but that is what I had to do with my last adventure boots too.Forma was created in 1999, and has since been developing innovative ranges and offers the market a complete product range. Although I had had plenty of spills, falls and a few broken bones, yet still no foot injuries, purely out of precaution I needed some more solid boots! I have wide calves, the boot straps had plenty of adjustment but not much overlap though this may change as the boots loosen up.

You will notice a difference if you are coming from a sports or touring boot as the toe section is a different shape. The Forma Adventure Boots are a pair of full grain, oil treated leather options certified to CE level one, for wearing on or off-road - whichever best fits your motorbiking needs. There is clearly plenty of protection – they score the higher of the two ratings – a2 – in each of the three areas they are tested under the CE rating program, gaining the highest rating possible.Plus, because you can’t walk naturally in a plastic boot, that puts pressure back on your knees and over time you end up with bad knees. The strap at the top of the boot means you can adjust it to fit your lower leg perfectly – useful to cope with different sizes of calf muscles, for example. At GetGeared Leatherhead we offer appointments - while not required, of you want to make sure certain items are there in your size, it's worth doing. And sure, because they are more rigid they are not as comfortable to walk in as the Adventure boots, but still not as stiff as MX boots would be.

Cross-country, the feel for the bike was great and movement for the gear and brake pedals was spot on. So whether your riding around the world, or around the city, with Forma boots you will always be prepared for an adventure! Also there is little or no heel impact absorption from the rear (important for high-side landings), and they don’t allow your lower legs to flex and rotate naturally causing spiral fractures + upper tib/fib fractures + busted knees. This layer is welded to the boots instead of stitched so there are no tiny holes for water to seep through as you ride in wet conditions.

The boots offer a secure fit with an adjustable velcro closure and GH plastic buckles that are both replaceable and adjustable.
