About this deal

Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself. The latest in the series, Bluey: The Creek, debuted at No3 on the Australian bestseller lists just last week. It was one of the first books to based on a bluey episode with the same name along with Fruit Bat which came out the same day. Along the way, she has a series of encounters that will both excite and test her in her first solo adventure.

They recognise success in Australian writing, publishing and bookselling, with an orientation towards business and sales. Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. Established in 1780, Pennells Garden Centres is one of the oldest family run garden centres in the UK. This is something I wrestle with, finding the right balance between oversight versus independence of my five-year-olds. Having experienced what it’s like to be on your own for the first time, Bluey reunites with Mum and they listen to the shell, before walking back down the beach together. After regaling Mum with her heroic solo adventure, they walk back along the beach hand in hand and Bluey observes that she too enjoys walks on her own. The surfer that Bluey meets is voiced be surfing legend Layne Beachley, who won the World Championship seven times and is also the chair of Surfing Australia. The font is easy to read, and I loved the choice bolded words that are good for early readers who are beginning to read.

Today, the centres are run by its 8th generation of the Pennell's family, William Pennell, with the support of his father and company chairman Richard Pennell. The storyline contains a lot of bravery and a really great show of manners with Bluey being polite, even to the sea creatures in her way. I do think that the story works better as an episode, but it still far better than most tie in novels that I read to the kids. Pretending to be a mermaid who has finally got her legs for the day, she embarks on a precious solo adventure, following Mum’s footprints along the shoreline. This book has a charming colloquial Australian voice and is full of humour and of course great lessons for the young people.Bluey then finds a shell she likes and decides to catch up with mum but there are a few obstacles along the way. Although lift-the-flap elements are nothing new, it’s interesting to note that they are always childhood favourites, but are elements used sparingly alongside big name characters like Spot and Peppa Pig.
