Directions Poppy red is a bright pink-red (no fading to orange after a week of washing) which actually looks brighter in real life than it does in the photo (excuse boyfriend).

As you can see my hair started off fairly red as a faded out mix of my roots and Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL in Hypnotic Red and Red Passion, (for the interested amongst you Hypnotic Red’s brighter although not by much). Once the dye has been applied, ensure you wait a few days before washing your hair for the first time! Optionally, if you'd like to avoid dye stains around the hairline apply a Vasaline or a small amount of baby oil, but don't let this get in your hair!

You should avoid swimming in chlorinated water, most harsh chemicals run the risk of washing out your newly dyed hair quickly and causing your hair to become less vibrant. I’m quite lucky in that I got a head start in the race to red so I don’t have to bleach my hair as brunettes often do and I already know that it flatters my skin tone which can be a worry for a lot of people.
